Tulip Trio

Tulip Trio
5" x 3" watercolor
SOLD

This is one of my most favorite paintings I've ever done. Watercolors are very challenging for me, but I was able to keep the colors nice and bright. I am very pleased with how this one turned out.

Hawaiian Lotus

Hawaiian Lotus
12" x 12" oil on canvas, gallery wrapped
$150

With this one, I really wanted to focus on loosening up my painting style.  No blending. I just applied color on top of color, and honestly, I was really uncomfortable with the whole process. But I forced myself to finish and once I stood back and looked at the completed piece, I was really pleased with the results.

Emerging Beauty

Emerging Beauty
12" x 12" oil on canvas, gallery wrapped
$150

Irises are one of my favorite flowers so I really enjoyed working on this one. This was only my second attempt at oil painting so I am still getting used to the medium, but already know that I love working in oils.

Blossom Trio I

Blossom Trio I
5" x 7" watercolor, unframed
$50

This is a small watercolor that I did a while back. It's not really my favorite medium to work in. Watercolors are so difficult to control... you try to correct a mistake and you'll end up with a muddy mess. But I thought this little painting turned out well.

Single Tulip

Single Tulip
5" x 7" oil on canvas, black hardwood frame
$75

Single Tulip was my very first attempt at oil painting. It turned out well enough that I want to continue dabbling in oils. My goal is to produce 3-4 paintings each week and post them here on this blog.
